Questions, answered

Visitor visa FAQ.

The questions every applicant asks. If yours isn’t here, ask a counsellor.

How long does a visitor visa take?

Between minutes and 8 weeks, depending on country and route. NZeTA decisions can come back in minutes. UK Standard Visitor averages 3–8 weeks. Schengen is a fixed 15 calendar days. We send the specific SLA for your case in the eligibility call.

I had a prior visa refusal. Should I disclose it?

Always. Every embassy asks. Non-disclosure of a previous refusal is itself a refusal-grade ground in most jurisdictions. We help you write the explanation that turns it into context, not a red flag.

Do I need a consular interview?

Yes for the US (mandatory) and sometimes Schengen. No for UK Standard Visitor, Canada TRV (most cases), Australia, New Zealand, UAE. We prep mock interviews for US and high-stakes Schengen cases.

What documents do I need?

The full list per country is shown above. The non-obvious essentials: a clean cover letter (Schengen), a GTE statement (Australia), the right embassy choice (Schengen), and home-country ties evidence (every country).

Can I travel to multiple countries on one visa?

Schengen yes, 27 countries on one Type C. Every other visitor visa is country-specific. UK does not grant entry to Schengen. Canada does not grant entry to US. Visit our destination guides for what each visa actually unlocks.

What happens if my visa is rejected?

We read the refusal letter and tell you honestly whether to reapply, appeal, or wait. Some refusals are fixable (additional documents). Some need a strategy pivot (different country, different visa class). The first conversation after a refusal is free.

How much does it cost?

Two costs: the embassy visa fee (varies by country, listed per destination above) and our service fee, quoted after the eligibility call. Transparent, fixed, no surprise add-ons. If we don’t think your case is winnable, we say so and refund any advance paid.

When should I apply?

Earliest: usually 90 days before travel (Schengen up to 6 months early). Latest safe: 4–6 weeks before for visa-required countries, 2 weeks for NZeTA / eTA routes. Applying too close to travel is itself a refusal ground in some jurisdictions.
