Before you apply

What you’ll need.

A four-point self-check. If a row surfaces a gap, we’ll route you to the right prep to close it. Before the application opens, not after.

  1. 01 Academic Must meet

A Bachelor’s degree for Master’s entry, or completed schooling for diploma routes. Hospitality or business backgrounds help but aren’t required.

Motivation, service orientation and the interview carry real weight here, alongside the transcript.

  2. 02 English language Must meet

IELTS Academic 6.0–6.5 depending on programme and level. French-taught luxury routes may also expect some French.

Below band? Prep first. Reapplying weaker rarely lands.

Questions, answered

Hospitality FAQ.

Eligibility first, then placement, fees, and application logistics.

Are the placements paid?

On many programmes, yes, the industry placement is paid and counts toward the qualification. The amount and work rights vary by country. We map the real numbers and the visa conditions before you commit.

Do I need a hospitality background?

No. Business, arts and other graduates are accepted, especially for Master’s routes. Service orientation and a strong interview matter as much as the subject of your degree.

France, Italy or Australia?

France for luxury hospitality prestige, Italy for culinary craft, Australia for resort and events operations plus a strong post-study work route. We match the school to the career you want.

What’s the total cost?

Tuition ranges widely by school and level; paid placements offset part of the cost. We put the all-in number, including living and visa, against the placement income on the table.

What does Transitley handle?

Shortlisting, application and interview prep, references, financial documentation and visa filing. One counsellor across the cycle, free for the first conversation.
