What the course is

The course, read.

A studio-driven Master’s for design graduates. The portfolio carries the application; the country sets the philosophy, heritage, design culture or sustainability.

01 / 03

Learning outcomes

Design at depth, in a studio that pushes you.

Advanced design studios, theory, structures and a major thesis project. The work you produce becomes the portfolio that opens the next door.

Studio output is the assessed core.

02 / 03

Industry relevance

Each country teaches a different craft.

Italy anchors heritage and material craft; the UK leads on design pedagogy and computation; Germany on sustainable, low-carbon building. We match the school to the practice you want.

Professional-registration rules flagged per country.

Why students choose it

A portfolio that travels.

A Master’s from a recognised studio sharpens both your skill and your book. For architects building an international career, that portfolio is the currency.

We help frame the portfolio before submission.

Before you apply

What you’ll need.

A four-point self-check. If a row surfaces a gap, we’ll route you to the right prep to close it. Before the application opens, not after.

  2. 02 English language Must meet

IELTS Academic 6.5 overall, with no individual band below 6.0. Equivalent PTE Academic and TOEFL iBT scores accepted.

Questions, answered

Architecture FAQ.

Eligibility first, then portfolio, fees, and application logistics.

How important is the portfolio?

It’s the most important part. A strong portfolio can outweigh a borderline transcript, and a weak one can sink a strong academic record. We help you frame, sequence and present it before you submit.

Will the degree let me register as an architect?

Professional registration is country-specific and usually needs supervised practice beyond the degree. We map the route, RIBA/ARB in the UK, the relevant body elsewhere, for your target country.

Do I need to speak Italian or German?

Many Master’s are taught in English, including in Italy and Germany. Some are not. We shortlist English-taught programmes unless you want a local-language route, and flag the language bar early.

What’s the total cost?

It ranges widely: Italian and German public universities can be very low tuition, UK programmes higher. We put the all-in number, including living and visa, on the table.

What does Transitley handle?

Shortlisting, portfolio framing, SoP, references, financial documentation and visa filing. One counsellor across the cycle, free for the first conversation.
